  • How much is a serving of oats?

There is no limit to how many oats you can use, but as a general guide, I use 50g (1/2 cup) dry.

  • How many times a day do you eat oats?

At least once at breakfast; often twice for dinner; sometimes three times when I have it for lunch too!

  • Whats the difference between porridge and oatmeal?

People tend to use these two words interchangeably. Porridge refers to any grain (oats, buckwheat, rice, quinoa etc.) cooked in a liquid. Oatmeal is the specific name for oat porridge. From experience, people from the UK use the word 'porridge', and elsewhere use 'oatmeal'.

  • I'm celiac/gluten free. Can I eat oatmeal?

Yes! Just look for gluten-free oats. There are also alternatives such as rice flake porridge out there too.

  • What are the benefits of eating oats?

There are so many benefits! Some of the best include:

-Better heart health due to beta-glucan, a type of fibre that lowers cholesterol.

-Better digestion thanks to the high levels of fibre.

-Keeps you full and energised for longer as they're slow-release, wholegrain carbohydrates (which aren't bad!)

-Packed full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

-Helps to boost immunity.
