Hot Cross Bun Porridge Recipe

HOT CROSS BUN OATS

It’s not Easter just yet but we can still enjoy it’s tasty treats right? One of my favourites is HOT CROSS BUNS. But of course I love oats too so I combined them! Recipe: 50g Oats 1tsp flaxseed 20-40g raisins (depending on how fruity you like them!) 1/2 zest of 1 medium orange 1/2tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp mixed spice 250ml liquid of choice (water, milk, milk alternative etc.) 🥣Step 1. Combine oats, spices, raisins and orange zest. 🥣Step 2. Add liquid and cook in the microwave for 4 minutes- stirring every minute to stop it from overflowing. Or cook on the stove until it’s your desired thickness. 🥣Step 3.Make a cross with whatever topping you like (I used pumpkin seeds but anything will work!) 🥣Step 4. ENJOY! A warmingly spiced porridge based bursting with juicy, velvety fruit. Perfect Easter breakfast!
